Saturday is an intensive introduction to speed painting’s basics. Participants will explore the theory behind speed painting techniques, as well as experimenting on various models in practical painting exercises:
Planning and sub-assemblies
Light and zenithal highlighting
Airbrush and rattle cans for pre-highlighting and further detail
Contrast, glazes and tone
Minimal, selective highlighting
On Sunday participants will add extra detail to the models they’ve worked on. James will share a range of tricks, techniques and unexpected materials that can be used to enhance your speed painting:
Adding gore and battle damage
And much more!
James will provide one-to-one advice and support to all participants throughout.
There will be various paints and tools provided, as well as models to work on, but participants should feel free to bring any of their own paints that they’d like to experiment with. There are also some essentials that you should bring:
